Whitney turned 8 today!! In her words it feels "pretty good". She is so sweet, smart, funny, and a big pain in the butt. How she does it I don't know, but she manages to hit them all!
Sweet: She wrote a special valentines to one of the kids in her class because "He has some rough days."
Smart: She is a spelling queen, loves to read, and loves math. Not to mention she can read an analog clock and knows her right and left, two things many adults seem to have problems with!
Funny/pain in the butt: Ryan and Whitney were fighting. I was in the other room completely done with all of the bickering. I heard a siren and shouted out to them what they wanted me to tell the police when they got here. Her immediate response, "Take Ryan". He promptly started to cry and of course Whit laughed hysterically. I admit it was funny but it took a few minutes to convince Ryan that I wouldn't give him away and that the police really weren't coming to our house. I asked her where she learned how to be a turd and she said, "you"! But she did say I learned it from Dad and it just came natural to him!
She is currently developing her talents in music and fashion design. She enjoys playing the piano (as long as it is her idea) and is still singing in TaVaci. She designed a dress for her baptism day and asked Grandma to make it. It is almost finished and has turned out amazing. She is pretty darn lucky she has a grandma that sews because her mom does not!! She has discussed with Grandma sewing lessons. We'll see if that actually takes place.
She unfortunately thinks boys are great, but I have convinced/bribed ($1000) her that she can't kiss any until she is 18. If she makes it to 18 that $1000 was well spent!
Whit is super excited about getting to go to activity days. Tomorrow is her first day and she wanted to skip TaVaci to make sure she didn't miss it. Lucky for her it is 3 hours after TaVaci gets over!!
