Bonjour Butterfly happens to be Whitney's favorite book. It is one of the Fancy Nancy series and it is filled with sparkly and beautiful things. In this book Fancy Nancy and her friend Bree say bonjour to butterflies any time they see them. Nancy thinks that everything in French sounds fancy so she is quite positive that something as fancy as a butterfly would speak French. A few weeks ago Angela had a pet pink lady butterfly. When Whitney saw it she said bonjour in a quite excellent accent. (Tom was proud!) We had this butterfly for about a day and then let it fly away. Whitney loved that she was able to hold it and that it was pink!Ryan has gotten a little too French for my taste. But he seems to enjoy it!!

I love how butterflies speak french. I wish i could speak it, to ask them to tell the grasshoppers to leave my yard so that i could have holeless leaves.
And the frogleggs---i hear taste great, dipped in butter. Cute pics
We can't all be French so take it as a compliment that Whitney and Ryan fit in so well.
